I don't buy books. I go to the library and talk loud. I buy the big bag of popcorn for 5.00. The birds get what I don't eat. A bottle of wine lasts me a week. I turn lights off and unplug my modems. Tech providers don't care that their gizmos are power eating monster. I shop at thrift stores. I cook my own meals. Uber will one day give up texting me. I make a game ofsaving money. Things happen in life. Unexpectedpotentially tummy churning things. It's not your fault. How you deal with it is.

I went on the internet and typed in for a web site that helps you use your pantry items. I found ine I liked. I gad to enter everything I had in my pantry and fridge which took some time but it fave ne iver 43,000 recipes plus recipes that I needed just 1 item to purchase. I am planning on using only ny food items I have for yhe month of July. Hoping to save a bundle and also use items before they get to old. Also I copied a kist from the federal govt about how long after best if used by date you can safely use utems saves wasting food

I live alone and eat on a meal for a day or 2. I then freeze it. I have a heat and eat department in my freezer!

I know you did not mean anything negative, but when you mentioned "clock in and clock out," we need to be careful to project a positive attitude, be a team player, offer an alternative, etc. Young people starting in the workplace don't necessarily understand this and think only their needs/wants are important. The continued life of the enterprise may require that employees take occasional turns at flexibility. Certainly, ask about being paid and/or time off, and keep a good attitude, especially if you need to find a new job. I very much respect my employees' time, and do not even want them to work unpaid time, but sometimes I need some flexibility from them--which I try to ask in advance, if possible. A book I'm reading now has 52 short chapters, Ready For Anything, by David Allen who created the Getting Things Done method. I am slowly absorbing his principles, and this book helps to enhance the process. I plan to reread this multiple times as I need the reminders.

I love to learn language, and I am currently learning Korean. I have a free app on my phone, i see free videos and podcasts, as well as utilize my local library for literature and learning tools. I can rent audiobooks and books for free, and my library can also get the things they dont have from other libraries in the district. I can keep checking those things out. There is no limit on how many times. Save change. We have a change bucket we drop our physical change into, and it helps so much. We never know how much is in it, but every penny( and nickle, dime, and quarter) counts. I have 2 daugters, and i keep clothes from the one that is slightly larger in size for the one that is petite to fit into. Saves a lot on buying school clothes.

I get social security and SSI and 99 food stamps. On 3rd of each month I'll get 10 lbs chicken thighs $6.50 22 already made hamburger patties and London broil beef and a ham. With this I'll boil the chicken off the bone fish out all bones add 3 qts egg noodles then put in 12 qt mason jars when cooled to room temp I'll free all but 2 for fridge. I'll boil ham off bone add corn peas green beans carrots celery potatoes. Again I put in qt jars freeze all but 2 for fridge. Boil beef. Till falls apart add a V8 add corn peas green beans carrots cut up celery potatoes again at room temp put all in qt jars freeze all but 2 for fridge. Fry all hamburger patties. Pu 2 each in food baggies. Use for Meat in spaghetti or chili of burgers n fries. If making spaghetti or 6 use generic tomato soup I instead of expensive Tagu or Prego. Now eat 2 qts of each you put in fridge already made just heat. As u eat a qt take same froze at from freezer to thaw in fridge. Alternate like Monday beef stew Tues ham stew wed chicken nood les. I share it with my 3 cats

One that's helped me is borrow from others. If you have a bestie get into the habit of asking each other if they have something you need temporarily. I borrowed a bigger garden table and a table cloth when we unexpectedly had a group for dinner and she needed a z bed which 8 lent to her. We extended that to a WhatsApp group for our freindgroup where we can ask if anyone has a tool we can borrow. For example I lent our my tile cutter and borrowed a garden sprayer. Totally free to us all it's like a stuff we need for a one off but don't want to buy library

Buy Christmas and birthday gifts throughout the year at sales/clearance sales. Saves a fortune and saves paying full price close to Christmas. Also saves time running around at the last minute during the Christmas rush.

Basically stay away from shops.

Finished about 2/3 rds of my 12 week list. Would like a few weeks off then want to start this again after Labor Day.

Library is my fave frugal hack! We have had so much fun at library events, movies, story telling, etc. Check out magazines, dvds cds, and apps give you acvess to more movies shows and music. Love love love our libraries!

I use android phones. They work just as good as iPhones. And cost way less. Now is the time to check winter weather gear. Snow blowers. Shovels. Snow tires. Winter clothes. Get the heating fixed if need be. Order the firewood and heating oil. Check space heaters. Why now? It gives time to prepare for the cold weather. Do this with summer gear in April.. Why. It saves money by knowing exactly what you need to replace or repair

Texas here, HEB is our beloved grocery store, they frequently offer bogo coupons, I recently used some for toothpaste and other stuff❤

In the summer, i always like hair long enough to put up be it a pony tail, a bun, a clip, or what ever.

In your own way, you've promoted a couple of books and at least 1 budgeting app. You have not HAWKED like an infomercial. - A couple of older utubers have/ had associared product review channels where all the stuff is talked about, featured, used, good and bad points pointed out, etc... i don't know if/ how that fits in the current utube model since they seem to prefer content providers featuring product for 5 to 10 minutes while using thier influence. It also requires seller participation.

We have been slogging through both 12 Week Years, not doing near as well as i had hoped, got a few things done not on my list, and dealing with life's curve balls. Currently working on 2024 Bigger Ticket Item #3 of the septic tank. Good news is that that once we found the tank, it is now pumped out, and the risers are to be installed this Wednesday. 2 flush out drains also added by the septic tank finding and digging guy which brings the initial part of the system to standard/ code. Outside of a few clean up tasks and maybe some grass seed come the fall rains, we are going to call #3 done. Thankgoodnes for extra funds because it cost about 3 times anticipated, about double of the anticipated extra it might take. Nothing on the stocking stuffers as weve been busy and not hot enough to be motivated by the library's a/c. Did see some honey sticks for $.18/ each in the grocery check-out line today. They would be intetesting, probably used/ appreciated, and two would cost $.36 or well under my $.50/ each cost limit. I tossed my #1 12 Week Year, planned task/ project list up in the air. At the beginning of May we had a major life happens thing, and another the second week. A semi-major partial recitification in June, one planned for July, and completed a few more things on the list inbetween. Of course, we've had laundry on the line every time there has been a slight chance of rain and that day they predicted no rain yet it rained. There was another i cant remember off the top of my head but do know there were some items from the first 12 Weeks not completed/ completed to the degree i wanted/ expected.
